Winterfolk was a wonderful experience! Two sets in full-capacity rooms filled with kind, attentive folks. It was nice to be back on the Danforth and I got to hear lots of great talent throughout the weekend. Thanks to the organizers and all the volunteers!

I’ve got two shows this weekend – on Friday, I’ll be playing some tunes to welcome guests at the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show from 5 – 8pm. I’ll have paintings with me, too! This one of Lake Superior is brand new and will go well with songs about paddling and the north shore.

On Saturday afternoon, I’m looking forward to Source of the Song at the Glen Williams Town Hall, where I’ll be joining Wendell Ferguson, Ambre McLean, and host Bruce Madole in a songwriter’s circle from 2 – 5pm.

It definitely feels like winter around here. But that can’t stop us from dreaming of festivals and workshops and multiple stages of great music over multiple days.
This February, all those dreams can come true at the Winterfolk Blues & Roots Festival in Toronto! I’ll be hosting a songwriters-in-the-round workshop on Saturday, February 15 at 1pm at the Black Swan, with Grainne Ryan, Peter Verity, and Glen Hornblast. I’ll play a solo set later that night at the Globe Bistro at 8pm. The festival is mostly free, with some ticketed stages. A surefire way to blast those winter blahs!
