I’m absolutely humbled that Hurricane Coming is surrounded by this stellar slate of nominees in the Contemporary Album of the Year category of the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

I believe so much in the power of an album, a collection, an entire work from start to finish. It brings me joy to know that other people crave that too, seek it out, dream it up. Looking forward to celebrating in Vancouver!

What a sweet surprise to find out that my album Hurricane Coming has been nominated for an Ontario Folk Music Award for Album of the Year! The awards ceremony will be taking place at the Folk Music Ontario conference in London, Ontario in October, where I am also delighted to report that I’ll be playing a Spotlight Showcase! Looking forward to returning to this conference in person after several years away due to the pandemic.
