Hometown album celebration!

Before I head to Vancouver to celebrate Hurricane Coming at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, I’m swinging by my hometown of Ottawa to play a concert in the “Spirit of Rasputin’s” series. It’s fitting that this homecoming show is part of this particular series, since the original Rasputin’s Folk Cafe was a second home to me when I was in high school, and I even worked there as a waitress for a while! It’s lovely to see the community keeping its spirit alive and continuing to present folk music in a listening room setting in the city.

I’ll be bringing along Sarah Hiltz to accompany me for this 2:00pm show on Sunday, March 19 at the Westboro Masonic Hall. Normalize matinee shows! Details on the GIGS page or at rasputins.org.

Layering up for two weeks in Alberta

I’m making sure to pack all my Alberta essentials for this upcoming tour – travel humidifier, ice cleats, heavy duty winter coat, multiple layers of clothing. I booked the rental car with snow tires. The temperature’s dropping all across my tour route, but it will be toasty warm at every one of these shows! A couple of legendary folks clubs, an exciting festival in Edmonton, a few intimate house concerts, and the debut of some duo performances with Sarah Hiltz. Come in out of the cold and be part of live music. The GIGS page has all the details.
