What a lovely way to start the year. The gig at The Mascot in Toronto on Sunday was a little slice of sweetness. Evalyn Parry mixed spoken word, songs, and selections from her spectacular show, SPIN, and we were treated to some cameo appearances by collaborator Brad Hart. Series organizer Amy Campbell debuted a whack of new songs and brought along some stellar band members – Cheryl Reid and Carlie Howell. Check out some of the snapshots!

I’m staying close to home in January, writing daily and occasionally posting excerpts on Facebook and Twitter. New songs are starting to form. Here’s the latest, called Not So Silent.
I’ll be sharing a laid-back afternoon show in Toronto on January 27th with two of my favourite writers – Evalyn Parry and Amy Campbell. We’re hoping to create a Sunday afternoon “songwriters’ playground” at the Mascot in Parkdale. Check out the poster for the whole talent-packed series:
