Farewell to fall

Three months of touring in Ontario finished in the most perfect way at St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage in Morrisburg. This stellar series on the St. Lawrence seaway sets the bar for excellent concert presenting. The show was sold out and I was honoured to play an opening set, warming up the stage for the legendary Garnet Rogers.

Thanks to the local print media for these two preview articles.
What a fantastic way to end a tour. Immense gratitude.

We’re in this for life

Folk music conferences are funny little ecosystems. Hundreds of like-minded folks packed into a hotel, all working together to help further their practice. Posters everywhere. Lots of hugging. Music popping up in every corner. No sleep.
I just returned from the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference in Kerhonkson, NY. While I would have loved to walk down to the peaceful lake or enjoy a relaxing soak in the spa’s hot tub, I was on a tight schedule of panels and showcases (with generous breaks to indulge in the great food!) One of the highlights of the weekend was getting the opportunity to perform in a songwriters’ circle with Kat Goldman and Jory Nash, hosted by acousticmusicscene.com‘s Michael Kornfeld.

I’m back in Toronto this week and I’ll be performing in this event at Lula Lounge, all for a good cause. A few tickets are still available, but we recommend you act fast!
