To bundle or not to bundle?

No need to wrap yourself in those cold weather layers for these November virtual concerts – you can watch them from the warmth and comfort of your home! My first live stream outside of my apartment will be coming to you from the beautiful hall at Beach United in Toronto on November 20. Then I’ll be returning to the Ottawa Grassroots Festival for an online fundraising concert on November 27 in a double bill with Ian Tamblyn. More details on the gigs page.

Here’s where you can really bundle up – Hurricane Coming CDs and postcards are available in various combinations for all your gift-giving needs. Check them out in the store.

The theme of the hour is theme songs

Years of driving long stretches of road and painting long hours at my dining room table have given me an affinity for two things: public radio and podcasts.

I’m delighted to have two new custom compositions featured in two of my favourite places!

The Sundilla Radio Hour on PRX commissioned a brand new fingerstyle guitar piece from me for their new theme song. You can hear it on any episode from September 13 onward.

And one of my favourite Community podcasts, Welcome to Greendale, is using my folky rendition of The 88’s At Least it Was Here as their Season 4 theme song! They’ve got a unique take on the “TV re-watch” podcast format, and they’re funny, insightful, and not afraid to call out the show when it’s warranted.

Happy listening!
