December 6 – National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Last year on December 6, I was reading these words, written by Megan Leslie, an NDP MP who had attended a memorial event in Halifax. I was so moved by her words, that I ended up writing Not So Silent, taking the title of Megan’s post as the title of the song.
I will be playing that song (and several others) at this December 6th memorial event in Owen Sound on Friday. I’m very honoured to be the musical guest for the evening. If you’re in the Grey-Bruce area, I hope you’ll join us so we can all be louder, more loving, and full of light, as we stand together.

Farewell to fall

Three months of touring in Ontario finished in the most perfect way at St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage in Morrisburg. This stellar series on the St. Lawrence seaway sets the bar for excellent concert presenting. The show was sold out and I was honoured to play an opening set, warming up the stage for the legendary Garnet Rogers.
