New year, new songs

I played my first show of 2015 with my old friend Angie Nussey at C’est What in Toronto. It was a really nice way to ease into the new year.

Things have been quieter around here as I’ve been diligently working on this winter’s writing project. I do have a few gigs coming up in eastern and southern Ontario in January and February, and some exciting gigs coming up in the spring, including opening for Old Man Luedecke at the Ottawa Grassroots Festival in April.
Folks in the Ottawa area can catch me at the end of this month:
January 22: Ottawa – A Thing for Chocolate
January 23: Kemptville – The Branch
January 25: McDonald’s Corners – MERA
If you’re a bit west of Toronto, I’m also playing:
January 28: Cambridge – Idea Exchange
January 29: Kitchener – Cafe Pyrus
If you can’t come out in person, tune in to the radio! I’ll be appearing on CKCU’s Canadian Spaces on January 17 (interview) and January 24 (live performance), as well as performing and chatting with Drew Marshall on his radio show on January 17.

Fa la la la last show of 2014

December is a tough month for touring unless you’ve got a Christmas album to promote, so I’m delighted that a fine group of folks came out to my Owen Sound CD release at the River Cafe. It was the perfect way to cap off a few months of crossing the country with my new album and I feel ready to take a little time off and get some writing done.

There are some shows sprinkled throughout the winter and you can keep track of them on the gigs page. If I’ve missed your town on my travels, drop me a line and let’s see if we can work out a show in 2015.
Otherwise, I’ll be putting on a pot of tea and putting pen to paper. All the best for the holidays!
