NERFA and what’s coming up next

Never underestimate what a flu can do! That was a rough recovery, truly a lesson in patience. I was glad to be back in good enough health to head down to Connecticut last weekend for the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance conference. I performed in six showcases and met lots of fabulous folk music performers and supporters.
Here’s a photo courtesy of Mira Shapiro, who stayed up with us until 3:30am at the AcousticMusicScene.com “O Canada” showcase. It was fun to have an impromptu band on stage too!

My next show is coming up on December 1 in Napanee, Ontario at Ellena’s Cafe and it’s presented by StarStop Concerts. It may very well be my last gig before 2017, and I’ll toss in some winter tunes whether we get any snow or not. Tickets are on sale now.

Fall was fun and then the flu caught me

I had a great time in Ottawa at the Folk Music Ontario conference. I even got to play a couple of songs with my friend Cheryl Prashker:

Then I flew home to share the stage with Murray Foster, Annabelle Chvostek, Chris Patterson, and Barry Canning at the Muse or Monster songwriter showcase in Toronto. What a great night!
Unfortunately, the next day, I got caught by the dreaded flu! Due to my new infectious state and the laryngitis that came with the flu, I have to cancel my three shows on Vancouver Island this week. I’m so sorry, Qualicum Beach, Courtenay, and Victoria! Hope I can reschedule soon.
Stay healthy, friends. Don’t let the flu catch you.
