Rest, writing, and residency

It’s been busier than expected around the homestead since I wrapped up 2018’s tour schedule. There were a few pop-up holiday gigs, lots of painting commissions, and a beautiful afternoon singing on Leela Gilday‘s gorgeous new studio album.
But I’ve also been hard at work writing new songs and renewing my mind and body so I’ll be ready to play them for you in 2019.
I also just got word that I’ve been accepted into the Banff Centre‘s Singer-Songwriter Residency in March 2019. I’m excited for the retreat and the opportunity to learn from some of the best songwriters in North America.

Thanks for sticking with me in these quieter, more reflective stretches. Wishing you lots of light in these shortened days.

Edge of the ocean, end of the year

I’ll be tying off 2018 with four dates on the East coast of Canada, singing my way on the rails there and back. The Ocean was the first train route I performed on seven years ago, and I’m looking forward to the trip one more time before I take the rest of 2018 off to recharge and write.
I’ve got three house concerts in Nova Scotia – Boutiliers Point, Hunts Point, and Wolfville, followed by my first ever performance on Prince Edward Island, at Baba’s in Charlottetown.
Hope to see you by the waves.
