December is a tough month for touring unless you’ve got a Christmas album to promote, so I’m delighted that a fine group of folks came out to my Owen Sound CD release at the River Cafe. It was the perfect way to cap off a few months of crossing the country with my new album and I feel ready to take a little time off and get some writing done.

There are some shows sprinkled throughout the winter and you can keep track of them on the gigs page. If I’ve missed your town on my travels, drop me a line and let’s see if we can work out a show in 2015.
Otherwise, I’ll be putting on a pot of tea and putting pen to paper. All the best for the holidays!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Gerrard Art Space on Saturday for the homecoming release of Apartments for Lovers!

Sarah Beatty wowed the crowd with a show-stealing opening set and Amy Campbell brought her harmonica and accordion for a few collaborations. I had ten paintings on display, representing my travels from west to east across Canada in the past year or so.

I’ve got one more CD release show in Owen Sound on December 10 before I scale back the touring a bit for the winter. I hope to spend the next few months focused on writing and am very grateful for the Toronto Arts Council grant I just received to help with that project.
