New live videos

As I continue to write steadily into the summer solstice, here are few new live videos for you to check out in the meantime.
This is my three-song official showcase set from the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance conference in May. Click “play” and it will feel just like you were there in the mountains of North Carolina:

Thanks to JB at One World Video for the footage and Stuart at the soundboard for the great audio!

The return to writing

Everything about the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance was a treat – from the kind hospitality, to the friendly delegates, to the professional sound on stage for my official showcase on Saturday night, and all the scenery in between.
Thanks to the funders who helped me get there: the Canada Council for the Arts, FACTOR, and the SOCAN Foundation.
After returning home from North Carolina, I felt a little nostalgic for the beauty of the Montreat grounds, so I painted this from an image I gathered on a hike while at the conference.
This reservoir on the Sanctuary Trail provided a welcome moment of tranquility.

Speaking of tranquility, I’ll be laying low for the next couple of months in order to finish a writing project that I’ve been working on. I’ll pop back out, new songs in tow, at the Harmony Bazaar Festival in Lockeport, Nova Scotia from July 10-12, 2015. Looking forward to it!
