Turn back time

As I’m looking ahead to my northeast US tour this month, you can look back at some pre-recorded radio and video broadcasts that are now online.
In October, Jan Hall from Folk Roots Radio caught me in between mad dashes through the Folk Music Ontario conference in Toronto. The interview and live performances can now be heard on the Folk Roots Radio website.
Want to watch AND listen to some stories and songs? Tune in to Nashville Side Streets on Saturday, June 4 at 8:30pm CST for my pre-taped appearance and conversation with Ronnie Dean. You can tweet or email during the broadcast to ask questions or comment on the show.

Hello from North Carolina

I’ve been touring for three weeks through the southeast USA, capping it off last night in Davidson, North Carolina. I travelled through Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee to get here, ate biscuits, Jeni’s ice cream, and barbeque, hiked mountains and parks, and played all kinds of stages and living rooms.
Thanks to the kind folks who opened their homes to me, who cooked in their kitchens and told me their stories. Thanks to Jeff at Corner Music in Nashville who fixed my guitar pick-up for free when it conked out on the first night of the tour. Thanks to the presenters who took a chance on me in a new market. All my paintings sold out, so I’m looking forward to making more.

I’m writing now from Assembly Inn in Montreat, NC where I’m attending the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference for the next few days. I’m taking in the widsom of the community members, breathing in the mountain air, and playing a few showcases for the delegates. Sure is a nice way to wrap up the tour.
