Fall was fun and then the flu caught me

I had a great time in Ottawa at the Folk Music Ontario conference. I even got to play a couple of songs with my friend Cheryl Prashker:

Then I flew home to share the stage with Murray Foster, Annabelle Chvostek, Chris Patterson, and Barry Canning at the Muse or Monster songwriter showcase in Toronto. What a great night!
Unfortunately, the next day, I got caught by the dreaded flu! Due to my new infectious state and the laryngitis that came with the flu, I have to cancel my three shows on Vancouver Island this week. I’m so sorry, Qualicum Beach, Courtenay, and Victoria! Hope I can reschedule soon.
Stay healthy, friends. Don’t let the flu catch you.

Two for Toronto

Fall swept through Toronto while I was on tour. I returned home pleased to feel a chill in the wind and see gold highlights on green branches.

I’ll play one more outdoor show in Barbara Hall Park in Toronto on October 5 at noon, while we still have the warmth of the sun at that hour. The show is free and open to all.
Staying close to home, I’m looking forward to swapping songs and telling stories at the Muse or Monster Songwriter Showcase on September 23 at the TRANZAC with Barry Canning, Annabelle Chvostek, and Chris Patterson. The event is hosted by the Toronto Songwriting School’s Murray Foster, who incidentally also played bass on my second album!
