Holiday cheer

As the darkest day approaches, I’ll try to add some light to the Winter Solstice with seasonal tunes played live on the radio! Tune in to AMI’s Kelly & Company between 2:00pm – 4:00pm on December 21 and you might catch me playing a few songs and instrumentals between segments on their festive kitchen party show.

For the open-minded fan of seasonal songs, check out my “Twisted Christmas/Sad Winter” playlist on YouTube, where I cover some unconventional favourites, dating back to 2010. This year’s addition to the series is coming soon – subscribe if you want to be the first to hear it.
January is coming soon, which means I’ll be hitting the snowy roads of northeast USA in a few weeks. Check out the gigs page for all the details and please have Santa send me a rental car with snow tires!
Best wishes for a merry holiday and a happy new year.

Rest, writing, and residency

It’s been busier than expected around the homestead since I wrapped up 2018’s tour schedule. There were a few pop-up holiday gigs, lots of painting commissions, and a beautiful afternoon singing on Leela Gilday‘s gorgeous new studio album.
But I’ve also been hard at work writing new songs and renewing my mind and body so I’ll be ready to play them for you in 2019.
I also just got word that I’ve been accepted into the Banff Centre‘s Singer-Songwriter Residency in March 2019. I’m excited for the retreat and the opportunity to learn from some of the best songwriters in North America.

Thanks for sticking with me in these quieter, more reflective stretches. Wishing you lots of light in these shortened days.
