Stay home and go big

I’ve been watching the season change and grow, as marked by the tree outside my apartment window. It’s been nice to reconnect with my home, to write at my dining room table, to read on my couch, and to cook in my kitchen. I experimented with a bigger canvas for my latest painting, this 12×24 of Mount Rundle from one of the Tunnel Mountain climbs in Banff. I thought a mountain so majestic deserved some extra space to stretch out.

I’ll be playing some new songs at the Roncy Rocks festival along Roncesvalles Avenue in Toronto on June 8. It’s all free and you can catch Damhnait Doyle and Royal Wood just after me.

Time to rediscover neighbourhoods. I’ll be at the farmer’s market, waiting for strawberries.

My Baby Can Fix a Bike – the single

To celebrate the month of May, the rise of spring, the coming of Bike Month events all over the world, my love song for bike mechanics can now be streamed on Spotify to your heart’s content!

My Baby Can Fix a Bike was previously only available as a bonus download when purchasing my 2017 CD Forest Fire.

In addition to streaming (or sharing, or adding the song to a playlist!), you can also buy the single on its own from CD Baby or Bandcamp. You can also watch a silly stop-motion animation video that I created for the song.

See you on the streets, fellow cyclists and bike lovers!
