Autumn in the air

Still scratching from the bug bites of festivals, cottages, and outdoor adventures, I’ve been busy booking up the fall months with shows that will take me all across Ontario. Keep your eye on the gigs page to see if I’m coming to a town near you. So far, I’m heading as far north as Wawa, west all the way to Windsor, and east to the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Morrisburg, where I’ll be opening for the legendary Garnet Rogers at the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage series. With lots of stops in between. Don’t see your town on the tour route? If you’d like to help plan a show, drop me a line – I’d be glad to make the trip.
Here’s a little tune in the meantime – the last song composed as part of my recent writing project supported by the Toronto Arts Council.

From the Bicycle Cafe to Mariposa

The first time I ever rented a car, it was so I could drive to Owen Sound to play at the Summerfolk Last Chance Saloon. I’m glad to be renting one this weekend so I can drive those familiar roads, this time stopping in Flesherton at the Bicycle Cafe on Friday night. Send me your loved ones from Grey-Bruce County.
On Saturday night, I’ll be facilitating the Hootenanny Stage at the Mariposa Folk Festival from 11:00pm – 2:00am. If you’ve got a camping pass, come on over – I’ll be leading the campfire song circle. You can sing a tune or two, or join in on some harmonies, or just listen.
